CJ and Shelley brought a powerful message challenging us to take practical steps toward the holiness for which God has created us. I especially appreciated the breakout session in which CJ spoke very candidly with the men (and young men) about the need for purity with regard to pornography and for protection with regard to creating a safe environment for our daughters. The women of the church were blessed as Shelley spoke tenderly about God's pure love for each of them. Through this one Sunday event, hearts were open to healing and families were challenged to set new standards for the media soup in which they daily swim.

I didn't realize how impactful media's influence was on each of our lives, especially the lives of teenagers. I have become much more aware of my own personal media "intake" and encourage the youth I work with to do the same. -Weeks after CJ shared his "Media 101" talk, the high school youth are still talking about what they learned. It's great to see them truly consider what kinds of media they are allowing themselves to consume and the affects it can have on who they are! Hearing CJ share has been great for our youth group!

Thank You Shelley! After I saw you at the Jr. High Convention recently things have gotten so much better in my life. I stopped wearing all kinds of black and depressing clothing to fit in with certain people. I also needed to hear your story of what you did in 8th grade and how much you regretted it or else I probably would have done the same thing (compromise sexually).

I was going to church before I saw you but now I really listen to what my preacher is saying and I've told some of my friends about your site and they love it! Anyway I would just like to THANK YOU again for what you have shown me and with any luck you may help some of my friends get saved!

Camps

I had a small idea as to what I was going to hear and see when C.J. brought his material to our teen camp this summer, but I was beyond pleased with all that it covered.  The kids were tracking right with him; and as any youth worker will tell you, keeping a group of teens' attention for half and hour or more is no easy task.  It was no problem with C.J. and topics he covered.  C.J. and the materials used were exactly what our kids needed to hear and the way it was presented was exciting and challenging!!!  I'm still hearing from our teens about what they heard and saw!!!  Our kids need to hear the truth about the dangerous things they allow into their lives!

We had the opportunity to have C.J. Hitz at our middle school Positive Addiction Day.  He tackled very timely and important issues with the students-their entertainment choices.  C.J. challenges young people to consider what effects media is having on them.  It is a very current program that looks at the examples of music, music artists, TV, movies, video games and its overall effect on kids.  I would recommend this program for all middle and high school kids as a way of giving them alternative choices.  I would also encourage parents and teachers to view this program because it keeps them aware of what is REALLY going on in the lives of young people.  Overall, a great program.
